Future course of action for Development of Sittwe Port:

 

1. Training and development of skilled manpower in port management, cargo handling, shipping, engineering, warehousing and transport. 

2. Development of logistics and routes to connect East Coast of India and North-East, Thailand, Singapore and China to regain the lost glory of Sittwe, in Rakhine State as THE TRADING HUB for Myanmar.

3. Develop infrastructure in the field of Agriculture, Road Development, Power and Water Resources to make this port and state capable for handling volume trade. 

4. Partner with the businessmen in Rakhine state in development of trade and commerce. 

5. Work closely with the Ministry of External Affairs of India and support our Indian Mission in Rakhine state to execute the projects planned by India in Myanmar as much as possible. 

6. Work continuously in close co-operation with the EXIM community present in Myanmar to understand their needs and potentials and customize solutions for enhancing the viability and reach.
